The U-Value measures the rate at which heat flows through the entire window; which measures overall energy-efficiency. Therefore, the lower the U-Value, the more energy-efficient the window is. So what you want your windows to have is a high R-Value and a low U-Value. You won’t get these with ordinary windows, but you’ll definitely get these with our vinyl windows.
