Insulation for your walls

When you install new siding on your house, it is an ideal time to consider upgrading the home insulation. If your dwelling was built within the last 50 years, the builder probably installed fiberglass insulation, cellulose insulation or spray foam insulation to the walls of the structure. Unfortunately, this is an area that is usually unseen by the prospective buyer, and corners are often cut. When Amazing Siding installs either our AmazingPlank or Hardi Plank siding, we offer an insulation upgrade for your walls.

Our AmazingPlank siding is a composite product in which an exterior vinyl based material is fused to a contoured underlayment. The resulting product has an insulating value of R 4.5 to R 4.8 depending on the configuration. This is in addition to the insulation of the existing wall. This extra insulation will have a dramatic effect on heating and cooling costs. Amazing Siding offers a written guarantee of up to 25% energy savings, depending upon the percentage of conditioned exterior wall space covered.

Our premium Hardie siding installations include installation of  ½” of foam insulation under the Hardi. This provides an additional insulating value of R 2.8.
